Travel Details

We know that a lot of you are traveling from out of town, and we are so thankful that you're making the trip! We've put together some information below to make traveling as stress-free as possible.

If You're Flying

We recommend flying into the Baltimore–Washington International Airport (BWI), which is an easy 45-50 minute drive from Bel Air. However, you can also fly into the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), which is about a 1.5 hour drive, or the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) or Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), which are both about a 1.5-2 hour drive.

Where to Stay

We've reserved a block of hotel rooms for our wedding guests. If you plan on staying in one of these hotels, please mention our names and book as early as possible to make sure you get the discounted rates!

What to Do

If you're staying a bit longer, unfortunately there's not much to do IN Bel Air. (Unless you're the type of person who can make a vacation out of eating homemade ice cream and feeding ducks. In which case, rock on.) However, there are a ton of great things to do in the surrounding areas. Some of our favorites include:

The Inner Harbor
The Inner Harbor in Baltimore has a ton of restaurants and attractions, and can easily fill up an entire day. Derrick and I are particularly fond of the Jellies Invasion at the National Aquarium. (Or that might just be me.)

Rocks State Park
Rocks State Parks is only about 20 minutes from Bel Air, and is a beautiful place to go hiking or have a picnic. If you do go, make sure you visit the King and Queen Seat.

Washington, DC
DC is a little bit farther away, but definitely doable for an easy overnight trip or even a long day trip. It's not a bad drive, but after a year and a half of working downtown, I recommend taking advantage of DC's public transportation and not dying a slow death in DC traffic. The MARC Train is inexpensive and relatively fast, and there are stations within 15 minutes of Bel Air. Once you've arrived at Union Station in DC, the metro can take you basically anywhere you'd want to visit. (Including Arlington, where I used to live.)

Other Info

If there's any information we missed (and Google just isn't doing it for you), please feel free to contact me or Derrick! We can't wait to see you in September. :)
